B.S. degree in wildlife biology required with up to 10 years of experience, as described below. Advanced degree with focus on ornithology (birds) helpful.
This position is offered as full-time, part-time, or on an assignment basis.
We are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated person, with strong team skills, as well as, strong communication and writing skills.
Responsibilities include permitting and related studies involving new and existing wind power projects, as follows: developing and implementing wildlife and avian studies; developing wildlife management plans; field reconnaissance and site monitoring; wildlife mathematical models and statistical analysis; permitting; environmental impact reports; environmental assessments; coordination with regulatory agencies; implementing and tracking mitigation plans; project siting; budgets; etc.
